Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters: How to Study in 3 European Countries for Free
What is Erasmus Mundus?
Unlike other scholarships where you stay in one university, Erasmus Mundus is a consortium. Several top European universities design a single Master’s program together. As a student, you must study in at least two different countries to graduate.
Education meets Adventure: Gain a degree while exploring the world.
What Does It Cover? (The Money)
This is one of the most generous scholarships in the world. If selected, you don’t pay a penny.
Full Tuition Fees
100% of the participation costs are covered. You get access to libraries, labs, and insurance in every country you visit.
Monthly Stipend
You receive approximately €1,100 – €1,400 per month for living expenses (food, rent, transport). This is enough to live comfortably in most European cities.
Travel Allowance
You receive an additional €3,000 per year for flight tickets and visa costs if you are from a “Partner Country” (e.g., Africa, Asia, Latin America).
How to Apply (Step-by-Step)
The application process is decentralized. You do not apply to “Erasmus” directly; you apply to the specific Master’s program.
- Step 1: Go to the EMJMD Catalogue website.
- Step 2: Filter by your field (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Agriculture).
- Step 3: Visit the program’s website and check the “Scholarship” deadline (usually Oct – Feb).
- Step 4: Submit your CV, Motivation Letter, and Transcript directly to them.
